Color me happy!

subtitled: My shadow shot entry
I. Love. New. Crayons. I love the pointy end. I love them when they are unbroken. I love how the wrappers are so pretty and clean. They just make me happy...and glad that I can see shadows in my photos! They're subtle, but they are indeed there. :]

Shadow shot Sunday is way fun! It's a great way to look at things differently! If you want to play along too, visit Hey Harriet.

I can't bring myself to put "Colors Make Me Happy" from Barney on here, but instead, enjoy a couple of my favorite songs with colors in the title:

Yellow by Cold Play and Red Hill Mining Town by U2

i'm with you! I love new crayons, too... in fact... i need to find something fun to do with all of the old crayons we have around here. seems as soon as the kids break or dull crayons so that they are hard to color with, I am putting them away or getting rid of them... any ideas??

So glad you played along again this week! :)

Just loved a new box of crayons...until one day back when my brother and I were in grade school, the school secretary called to say my brother kept buying boxes of crayons...he was stealing money out of my piggy bank...and he wonders why we never got along as kids...ha!

Great shadow shot, Brandi.

Shannon, you can put shave broken crayons and put it between wax paper and use your iron to melt them... Then add a construction paper design around the outside edge to make butterflies or other pictures...

You can sort broken crayons by color then melt broken crayons in paper cups in the microwave and then put in candy molds to make cute crayon shapes. Then kids have cute shapes to color with.

I bet there are tons of other ways to use broken crayons....I'll have to think on this or research it.

Crayons are great - loved your subtle shadow shots. You could melt the old ones down with candle wax and make coloured candles. xx
